rapeseed oil campaign financed by PSPO with EU funding under the slogan Enjoy it’s from Europe. The activities cover the years 2020 – 2022 including television (product placement), press campaign in women’s magazines and culinary magazines, as well as digital (SEM, SEO, sponsored articles on women’s portals). This year’s campaign is mainly addressed to women with children under 14 and aims to educate mothers about the health-promoting properties of rapeseed oil as a component of a healthy diet. The faces of the campaign are Dr. Hanna Stolińska – nutritionist and Monika Mrozowska – actress.

Rapeseed oil is considered to be one of the most valuable fats due to its high level (about 90%) of healthy valuable unsaturated fatty acids: linoleic (omega-6), alpha-linolenic (omega-3) and oleic (omega-9). The human body does not produce these acids and they are essential for proper functioning so they should be provided with food. It is worth knowing that rapeseed oil contains as much as 10 times more omega-3 than olive oil, 13 times more than sunflower oil and 40 times more than grape seed oil. These acids are so important for health because they are conducive to the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, prevention of diabetes, cancer, have an anti-inflammatory effect, keep the skin in good condition, and also affect the proper functioning of the brain and eyesight. 2 tablespoons of rapeseed oil per day cover 50% of vitamin E and 20% of vitamin K requirements.

Refined rapeseed oil is the best frying fat for both its composition and high smoke point. Refined or cold-pressed rapeseed oil can be used for salad dressings. Replacing olive oil with it will probably make our children more likely to eat salads, because rapeseed oil does not have the bitterness so typical of olive oil. The omega-3 content affects the proper growth and development of children. Moreover, in the climate zone where Poland is located, rapeseed oil is better suited to our needs. Inhabitants of the Mediterranean Basin eat a lot of fish and seafood and this is the main source of omega-3 for them, which in our diet  can be provided by regular consumption of rapeseed oil.
